API Key Migration Guide

After the release of Routing Strategies, existing users need to update their API keys and assign them to the newly introduced Routing Strategies.

Configure Default Routing Strategy​

First you follow the same steps as shown in the Initial Setup section of the Routing Strategies documentation to configure a Routing Strategy for your organization.

Update Existing API Keys​

Once you have set up a Routing Strategy, you can proceed to update your existing API keys:

  1. Navigate to the API Key Assignment section in the LLMrouter dashboard.
  2. Identify the API keys that need to be updated. This is indicated by a red label stating No Strategy assigned.
  3. Select the API key you want to update.
  4. In the Edit Dialog, you are currently not able to change anything. Just click Save Changes to apply the preselected default Routing Strategy.
